This course on Mechanical Designing covers essential skills in CAD using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You will learn to create detailed designs through a structured approach.

• Introduction: Understand CAD basics, navigate the SolidWorks interface, manage files, and use shortcuts.
• Sketching: Use 2D sketch tools, apply smart dimensions, create relations and constraints, and utilize patterns and mirrors to fully define sketches.
• Part Modeling: Learn techniques such as extrude and cut, revolve, sweep, loft, fillet, chamfer, and employ the Hole Wizard, shell, and draft features.
• Advanced Modeling: Explore multi-body parts, reference geometry, helix and curves, and learn to use configurations and design tables.
• Assembly Design: Grasp assembly basics, create mates and constraints, generate exploded views, detect interferences, and manage assembly configurations.
• Engineering Drawings: Create orthographic views, section and detail views, apply dimensioning, understand GD&T basics, and develop BOM and manufacturing drawings.
• Sheet Metal: Work with base flanges, edge flanges, bend features, flattening, and perform sheet metal projects.
• Weldments: Use structural members, trim and extend features, create gussets and weld beads, and prepare cut lists and fabrication drawings.
• Surface Modeling: Handle surface features, trim and knit surfaces, and develop boundary surfaces.
• Mold & Plastic Design: Conduct draft analysis, identify parting lines, and design core and cavity structures for plastic components.
• Rendering & Animation: Apply materials and appearances, set up lighting and cameras, and create photo renderings and product animations.
• Reverse Engineering Basics: Learn about STL and mesh files, convert mesh to solid, and reconstruct surfaces.
• Manufacturing Concepts: Understand design for manufacturing, machining basics, tolerance considerations, and material selection.
