Classes 9–10 Social Science and Classes 11–12 Political Science, History, Geography & Economics
Building a Clear Foundation in Humanities
This course is designed for students in Classes 9–10 studying Social Science and students in Classes 11–12 who take Political Science, History, Geography or Economics. The learning approach centres on understanding the subject before attempting to memorise details.
Humanities subjects often involve more than remembering definitions, dates or terms. Students need to understand relationships between ideas, interpret information and present their knowledge clearly. The course therefore gives attention to concepts, explanations and written expression alongside regular academic revision.
NCERT books form the foundation of the lessons. Topics are explained in a structured way so that students can follow the connection between different ideas instead of treating every chapter as a separate set of facts.
Understanding Concepts Before Memorising Details
Political Science and History
Political Science lessons can focus on understanding institutions, political ideas, constitutional concepts and the relationships between different parts of a political system. Students are encouraged to explain concepts in their own words and identify the main points that need to appear in an examination answer.
History requires students to understand events within their broader context. Rather than approaching chapters as lists of dates and names, lessons can connect causes, developments and consequences to create a clearer understanding of the topic.
Geography and Economics
Geography involves interpreting physical, human and environmental processes while connecting concepts with relevant examples. Lessons can help students organise information and understand how different geographical factors relate to one another.
Economics introduces students to concepts, terminology and relationships that become easier to understand when explained step by step. The teaching approach focuses on developing a logical understanding of economic ideas before moving towards written practice.
Turning Understanding Into Better Answers
Knowing a chapter and being able to write about it in an examination are two different skills. For this reason, answer writing is an important part of the learning process.
Students are encouraged to first understand a topic, then explain it in their own words and finally organise that understanding into a structured answer. Regular writing practice can help students become familiar with presenting relevant points clearly and staying focused on the question.
Developing Written Expression
English writing is also included as a relevant skill within the course. Students can work on expressing subject knowledge in clear, organised language. This is particularly useful when a student understands a concept but finds it difficult to convert that understanding into a complete examination response.
A Revision-Focused Learning Routine
Regular revision helps students retain concepts over time. Lessons can include revisiting previously studied topics, identifying areas that need more attention and practising questions based on those concepts.
The course combines learning with revision rather than leaving all review work until examinations. This gives students opportunities to identify gaps in their understanding while there is still time to address them.
For school and board examination preparation, students can also practise framing answers according to the requirements of their subjects. The focus remains on understanding the material and communicating it accurately.
Small-Batch Learning With Individual Attention
Classes are conducted in small batches at Parth Dandona’s residence. This setting allows individual questions to be addressed during lessons and gives students space to discuss concepts they find difficult.
Students can ask questions freely and work through topics at a pace that supports their understanding. A smaller learning group can also make it easier to notice where a student needs additional explanation or revision.
Online and Offline Learning Options
The course is available through both online and offline classes. The same concept-based approach can be used across both formats, with lessons centred on explanation, discussion, revision and answer-writing practice.
The weekend and weekday batch options provide flexibility for students working around their regular school schedule.
Who Can Benefit From This Subject-Focused Approach?
The course is suitable for students in Classes 9–10 who want structured support in Social Science and students in Classes 11–12 studying Political Science, History, Geography or Economics.
It can be particularly relevant for learners who want to move beyond memorising textbook content and develop a stronger understanding of how concepts fit together. Students preparing for school or board examinations can also use the course to strengthen revision habits and written-answer skills.
The overall learning path is straightforward: understand the concept, connect it with examples, explain it independently, revise it regularly and practise expressing the answer clearly.
Key Learning Areas
Students work towards developing conceptual clarity, subject vocabulary, structured thinking and the ability to communicate what they know in written form. The emphasis remains on building genuine understanding from NCERT-based content while preparing systematically for academic assessments.
