Vocals Course with Yashvardhan Anand

Build a Strong Foundation for Better Singing

The Vocals course is designed for learners who want to understand their voice and develop stronger, more controlled singing habits. With 9 years of experience in vocal training, Yashvardhan Anand works with learners in Hindi and English through online and offline classes.

The course begins with the fundamentals of singing rather than moving immediately into advanced techniques. Learners can develop an understanding of posture, breathing, pitch, tone, resonance, and vocal control. These elements form the foundation for producing a more stable and expressive singing voice.

The course is suitable for complete beginners, hobby singers, and intermediate learners who want to refine their existing technique. Sessions can be attended on weekdays or weekends, with each class lasting one hour.

Develop Better Breath and Vocal Control

Breathing plays an important role in singing. Learners are introduced to diaphragmatic breathing and breath-control practices that can help them manage sustained notes more effectively.

Core Foundations Covered

The initial learning stage includes:

Proper posture and body alignment
Breathing techniques for singers
Diaphragmatic breathing
Breath-control exercises
Daily vocal warm-ups
Vocal cool-down routines
Basic pitch awareness
Introduction to tone and resonance

Regular warm-ups and cool-downs also help learners understand how to approach singing practice responsibly and consistently.

Improve Pitch, Tone, and Vocal Range

Accurate pitch is an essential part of singing. The course includes ear-training activities that help learners recognize and match musical notes more accurately.

Learners also explore their natural vocal qualities and develop a better understanding of different registers, including chest voice, head voice, and mixed voice. Exercises are introduced to help learners move between registers more smoothly while working within a comfortable vocal range.

Finding Your Natural Vocal Quality

Voice development is not only about singing higher or louder. Tone placement, resonance, control, and consistency all contribute to the way a singer sounds. The course gives learners opportunities to understand these elements and apply them during practical singing exercises.

Range-development exercises are approached with attention to vocal comfort rather than forcing the voice beyond its natural limits.

Explore Advanced Vocal Techniques

As learners become more comfortable with the fundamentals, the course introduces techniques that can add greater control and expression to singing.

These include vibrato development, vocal agility, runs, riffs, register transitions, and controlled belting. Learners also work on vocal dynamics, including changes in volume and intensity, so that a song does not sound flat or mechanically delivered.

Strengthen Control Through Practice

Advanced techniques require coordination and repetition. Instead of treating them as isolated exercises, learners can apply them to singing passages and songs. This helps connect technical practice with actual musical performance.

The course also introduces harmonization concepts, allowing learners to understand how different vocal parts can work together within music.

Turn Vocal Technique Into Musical Expression

Good singing involves more than accurate notes. Interpretation and emotional delivery influence how a listener experiences a song. Learners can work on phrasing, expression, and conveying the intended mood of different musical pieces.

Song interpretation may include working with different styles, from upbeat songs to more intimate and emotionally focused pieces. This provides an opportunity to connect vocal technique with musical expression.

Developing Confidence for Performance

Performance skills are another part of the learning journey. Learners can explore stage presence, microphone handling, and strategies for becoming more comfortable while performing.

For those interested in recording, the course also introduces practical considerations for preparing the voice for a studio environment and working toward a suitable vocal take.

A Flexible Learning Path for Different Learners

The course is relevant to aspiring singers, hobbyists, performers, and learners who simply want to develop their vocal ability. Beginners can start with foundational exercises, while intermediate singers can use the course to work on areas such as vocal range, agility, resonance, dynamics, and performance technique.

One-to-one learning can make it easier to focus on specific areas of vocal development. A learner may need more attention on pitch, while another may need additional practice with breathing, voice modulation, register transitions, or performance confidence.

Online and offline classes provide flexibility for learners in different settings. The teaching language can be Hindi or English, allowing learners to follow explanations and exercises comfortably.

Practical Singing Skills You Can Develop

Throughout the course, learners work toward a broader understanding of how the voice functions during singing. Practice can connect individual exercises with songs and performance situations, helping learners understand when and how to apply different techniques.

The overall learning path moves from basic vocal preparation to pitch and tone development, followed by more advanced vocal techniques and performance-oriented practice. This structured progression can help learners build their skills gradually while developing greater awareness of their own voice.
