Thesis Ready: Statistical Mastery with SPSS is a structured 4-week online course designed to help undergraduate, postgraduate, and research scholars confidently analyze their research data using IBM SPSS Statistics.

This course focuses on practical statistical analysis required for thesis, dissertation, and academic research projects. From data entry and cleaning to running hypothesis tests and interpreting outputs, students learn how to conduct complete statistical analysis independently.

By the end of the program, learners will be able to clean datasets, perform descriptive and inferential statistics, interpret p-values correctly, and export professional tables and charts for academic submission.

What Student Will Learn

Week 1: Data Entry & Cleaning

Understanding Variable View vs. Data View.

Defining variables (Nominal, Ordinal, Scale).

Importing data from Excel and handling missing values.

Week 2: Descriptive Statistics

Generating Frequencies, Mean, Median, and Mode.

Visualizing data: Histograms, Bar Charts, and Boxplots.

Goal: How to describe your research sample perfectly.

Week 3: The "Big Three" Tests (Parametric)

T-Tests: Comparing two groups (e.g., Boys vs. Girls' scores).

ANOVA: Comparing more than two groups.

Correlation: Finding the relationship between two variables (e.g., Study hours vs. Marks).

Week 4: Interpreting the Output

How to read the "Sig." (p-value).

Exporting tables and charts to MS Word for a Thesis.

Final Project: Running a complete analysis on a provided survey dataset.

Teaching Method

• Live practical demonstrations
• Step-by-step statistical procedures
• Real dataset practice
• Output interpretation training
• Thesis writing guidance for results section
• Doubt-solving support

The course emphasizes practical learning rather than theoretical complexity, ensuring students can confidently apply statistics in real research scenarios.

Who This Course Is For

• Undergraduate students working on projects
• Postgraduate students preparing dissertations
• PhD scholars
• Researchers in social sciences, education, commerce, management, or healthcare
• Beginners who want hands-on SPSS training

Why Learn with Komal Abhang

Komal Abhang’s structured approach ensures that students understand not just “how” to run tests, but “why” they are used. The course bridges the gap between statistical theory and thesis application.

Learners gain confidence in interpreting SPSS outputs correctly and writing results professionally, which is critical for academic evaluation.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, students will:

• Prepare and clean research data accurately
• Perform descriptive and inferential statistics
• Conduct T-tests, ANOVA, and Correlation
• Interpret p-values correctly
• Write statistically sound thesis results
• Export professional tables and charts

Students will be fully prepared to analyze and present their research findings independently.
