I am Puran Kumar Gupta  , and I am a Guitar teacher having 9+ years of experience in teaching.I Specialize in Spanish Accoustic Guitar and I love helping students of all ages learn how toPlay the Guitar.  1. BASICS OF GUITAR  

• Set Clear Objectives: Define what students will be able to do, such as "play 10 open chords confidently," "read tab notation," or "improvise a basic solo".

• Structure by Difficulty: Order topics by complexity, ensuring a logical build-out (e.g., single notes

Module 1: Foundations (The First Step) 

• Anatomy: Parts of the guitar (headstock, fretboard, bridge).

• Physicality: Proper posture, holding the pick, and fretting technique.

• Tuning: Using an electronic tuner and the 5th fret method.

• Reading: Introduction to guitar tablature (tabs) and chord diagrams. 

Module 2: Basic Technique & Chords 

• Single-Note Basics: Developing alternate picking (up/down) and dexterity.

• Open Chords (The CAGED System): Focus on essential chords: E, A, D, G, C, Em, Am, Dm.

• Chord Transitions: Exercises to switch between chords smoothly

• Strumming Patterns: Basic 4/4 and 8-beat patterns. 

Module 3: Expanding Vocabulary 

• Fretboard Memorization: Learning notes on the 5th and 6th strings.

• Power Chords: Two-note chords, movable across the fretboard.

• Barre Chords: Introducing F major and B minor (E and A shapes).

• Rhythm & Metronome: Using a metronome to improve timing and playing with backing tracks. 

Module 4: Musicality & Performance 

• Scales: Major and Minor Pentatonic scales for soloing.

• Techniques: Bends, slides, hammer-ons, and pull-offs.

• Songs: Applying knowledge to full songs immediately to keep it fun.

• Improvisation: Using simple triads and arpeggios to create melodies. 

2. Structure Each Lesson (The "Topic vs. Application" Model) 

Do not just teach theory; apply it immediately to ensure retention. 

• Topic: Introduce a new concept (e.g., G Major chord).

• Application: Play a song that uses that chord (e.g., "Let It Be").

• Assignment: Give actionable practice tasks for the next meeting.

• Make it Fun: Incorporate favorite songs early to keep motivation high.

• Balance Practice: Divide sessions into 30 minutes of technical practice (scales/chords) and 30 minutes of fun (songs/improvisation).
